Gone but not forgotten: being able to ride the Duck boats in Philly.
The deadly duck boats, that is. And the use of that descriptive word also hints at to why there is no more duck boat riding in the city of brotherly love.
Sadly, deaths have been both on the water and on the land. In 2010, two tourists died when a barge overran the boat in the water and it sank ... and five years later, a woman crossing the street (allegedly against a red light and staring at a screen) was killed due to the boat-car having too many blind spots. (By the way, the interwebs say that Seattle also had some issues.)
As one could expect, lawyers got involved and insurance premiums skyrocketed, and now the company can't afford the cost of business, so it stopped offering the option in Philly last month.
Boat/car rides that you can still do in Branson, when it comes to Philadelphia, you will (maybe not) be missed.
