Random Flashback for Friday 8/5/16

Tonight's theme for the 16th batch of photos of my father's that I inherited when he passed ... is "1945".  Admittedly, only two of the five have that date written on them, but the other three are posed military shots from WWII, so they kind of fit for that era.  And the wartime photo of my father is so intriguing to me, because it was almost thirty years before I was born and I can't help but wonder who he was at that time (as a twenty year old).

#76 - my father in uniform in his "official" military photo; note that he wrote on the back of it in his handwriting:  "Ralph E Neidermyer enlisted in air force on his 18th birthday spent 4.5 years in air force was a sgt flew in B-25 and A-26 was working as a maintenance man cleaning guns and bombs in A-26 and B-25 at Florida South Carolina"
#77 - "Uncle Bob Peiffer" (which would be my maternal grandmother's brother?) who also clearly served in the war
#78 - unknown military young'un ... could it be one of my uncles?  or a wartime buddy of my father's?
#79 - four women, with handwritten "1945 - 4th generations" on bottom; assuming them to be my maternal grandma, great grandma and great great grandma with one of my aunts (Evelyn?) as a young girl -- but I might have that wrong
#80 - handwritten 1945 on bottom; a family kiddie game of croquet (although I see lots of mallets but no wickets nor balls)
