Tonight's theme for the 14th batch of photos of my father's that I inherited when he passed ... is "likely early 40's" -- and it represents a new phase in this ongoing series. All the black and white photos that came before did not have any dates attached to them ... but moving forward, they do. The clearest ones have a date stamp on the back of them ... although there will be some that have it handwritten on, which could be suspect.
#66 - my father Ralph and three unknown girls (it's true he had what I call a World War II family [before he met my mom], but they were three boys and a girl ... so I have no idea who these three little angels are); the photo has "1940?" written on it
#67 - there is writing that says "friends of the Neidermyers" and a Polaroid stamp that says '42' ... this photo could probably be date-verified based on those Chuck Taylors that the boy is wearing
#68 - left side of damaged group photo that says "Neidermyer reunion at Lititz Spring Park" with hand written dates of both 1930 AND 1940 on it ... I don't recognize a single person ... and it seems like a lot of adults are wearing something pinned on them -- maybe a WWII ribbon thing? -- plus I noticed there seems to be a lot of old folks and young kids, but not so many middle-aged people, which makes me think it is a wartime pic as well
#69 - middle of same damaged group photo
#70 - right side of same damaged group photo
