What southern Florida is talking about this week:
Random crime.
Just like when I'm back in the small hometown in which I grew up, the best thing about the Sunday paper (after the funny pages) is the police blotter. (Unlike the newspaper back home, the local log is anonymous, which takes away some of the fun).
As you can see from this recent entry in my new hometown, there is a bit of variety in the crime that is occurring.
Smash and grab is still the number one activity (all doors should always be locked, although car windows often get smashed for just the hopes that the tiniest bit of change will help the criminals get their next flakka fix).
On a lighter note, I'm so hoping that the crime in the final entry (written in a very German sentence structure) involved interpretive dance: "someone moved around some items in a home's backyard".
