Random Wordplay for Wednesday 2/18/15

Mahershalalhashbaz.

Used in a sentence:  "What with formerly excelling at random bits of Bible trivia courtesy of all my time spent at Hebron church in retreats and the such, how is it that I did not know until seeing it on some pop culture news show that the longest name in the Bible is Mahershalalhashbaz."

Oldest man?  Methusaleh.  Shortest Bible verse?  "Jesus wept." (Which also maybe a Kanye Kardashian tune?)  Yet somehow the second prophetically named child mentioned in Isaiah wasn't on my radar ... until some actor of the same name who added an Ali after was suggested to be cast in some upcoming superhero show or movie.

I double checked several of the family Bibles -- side note, I collect the good books of my forebears (my maternal grandmother, my biological father, my surrogate grandmother, etc, etc) -- and sure enough, there is Mahershalalhashbaz mentioned in every single one.

Well ... now I know, should the proverbial gun every be put to my head.  Mahershalalhashbaz takes the prize.
