Used in a sentence: "Get ready over there in Facebook land, because, for the next ten days, Dolly and Walt are visiting ... which means there will be lots of status updates and check-ins troytagged (it's like a hashtag, only better) with #DollyWalt2015".
(This photo is from the holidays of 2013 ... and this trip in mid Jan 2015 is kind of the substitute for the holidays of 2014, which were the first holidays spent apart in at least a dozen years [an unfortunate side effect of the big move from a year ago this time].)
Since all of that will be exclusive FB content that won't migrate to the blog, just know that early plans for this trip include things like markets (of both the flea and farmer variety), museums (featuring exhibits of both tractors and flight simulators), national parks (both in the Everglades and in the Keys), a botanical garden or two, a good bit of shopping, a LOT of eating PLUS a few rounds of croquet and a few hands of cards (Michigan Rummy, anyone?)
And ... a selfish tradition that has been kept for many years running ... my annual birthday dinner in my birthday month at a steak house (it's always to be at a different location each year ... and it will be the first down here in FL).
But wait ... there's more! The highlight might just be a chocolate festival this weekend housed in an antique car museum that includes a Bat-collection. It's like the tourist gods created an event JUST for us!
