Random Memorial for Monday 1/12/15

Gone but not forgotten (for the time being at least):  sewer roots.

For the *third* time since moving in to the old homestead, the plumber had to come over and climb on the roof and snake the drains ... in order to remove the roots that are growing into the main line.  (Side note:  the plumber is from the islands, and he was super excited to forecast that it will be a record mango crop from the tree out front.)

Except today, Noel the island plumber made me go up the ladder and go out on the roof and take a picture to send to the landlady, who refuses to fix the issue long term and instead relies on this band-aid approach every few months.  Her other suggestions have included buying special biodegradable toilet paper AND having a separate trash can next to the commode just for used toilet paper.  Um ... both of those options were obviously declined.

The only question ... will his work last six months like before ... or just one week last this last visit.  Here's hoping that it's the former and not the latter ... as obstructions to the tub and toilet draining at full capacity, you will most definitely NOT be missed!
