Random Wordplay for Wednesday 6/18/14

Financially Challenged.  Underbanked.  Thrifty Elders.  Working Class Moms.  Bikers/Hell's Angels.  Bible Lifestyle.  Leans Left.  Political Conservative.  Urban Scramble.  Mobile Mixer.  Rural Everlasting.

Used in the style of Jeopardy by providing the question for which the above list is the answer ... "What are the labels used by data brokers as recently disclosed in an FTC report?"

Not to get you all paranoid ... which in and of itself doesn't mean that everyone is watching you ... but in the Orwellian world of BIG DATA in which we live, you have been reduced to a label that befits your online presence, documented decisions (including voting habits), shopping purchases, financial information, etc, etc, etc.  And even though some of us may suffer from a sense of exaggerated uniqueness, in the aggregated portfolio, we're all just part of a group like the ones listed out above.

So think about *that* before your next google search (and don't worry about trying to go clear your cache and cookies ... once a rural everlaster, always a rural everlaster).  And welcome to a brave new world (yes, I know, I'm mixing my Aldous with my George, but if the future apocalyptic vision fits, then soma for us all ...)  If it concerns you, try going off the grid.  But don't be surprise if Grid Goer Offer isn't just another one of their categories ...
