I don't know if it's the fact that the Blue and White game was aired this weekend (it's still on my DVR ... but spoiler alert ... Penn State won) OR the fact that the toy picked up at the Target tonight for the pup was a squeaky blue football that's kept him going all night OR that pipe dream that maybe I'll spend Labor Day weekend 2014 in Ireland with a Guinness and a game ...
But football's been on my mind these last 24 hours.
I guess I get it that 5 out of 1200 missed PATs last year (I *just* learned that acronym ... I don't want anyone to accuse me of being a poser) [4 of which were blocked] makes for a not so exciting game. But I come from the world of being a fan of college football, where it seems like all too often that that point matters (and not necessarily be such a foregone conclusion).
That which will make the kickers be a less glamorous position (they *were* a glamorous position to start with, right?) ... you will (potentially) be missed.
