Tonight's tune is *not* the "Invisible" as heard on Jimmy Fallon's premier episode of The Tonight Show (and wasn't it just precious how he got all choked up last night taking a classic show into the next generation ... and kudos to him getting Joan Rivers back on the program ... if only for a minute) ...
Nor is it the "Invisible" from fifteen years ago on Reba's "If You See Him" album ... nor is it the "Invisible" from fifteen years before that by Alison Moyet ... nor is it any of the other dozen or so songs one can find courtesy of the OCD-sufferer's favorite website known as the Wikipedia.
It is, however, the new Hunter Hayes song, as heard (by me anyway) on the Grammys just the other night. Without a doubt, it's a tune just dying for a Glee treatment (or it would have been perfect to play out those going home on The Glee Project [had that show not been cancelled]). But here's the part that resonates the loudest with me ...
Every heart has a rhythm, let yours beat out so loudly
That everyone can hear it, yeah, promise you don't need to hide it anymore --
Oh, and never be afraid of doing something different,
Dare to be something more.
