Feather it out!

Used as inspiration for a multiple choice question:  "The phrase 'Feather it out!':

A.)  describes Jon Bon Jovi's morning hair routine
B.)  characterizes a drunken Irishman's failure to injure someone
C.)  represents instructions never shared with me as to how to treat the clutch whilst driving stick shift, as clearly evidenced by that time I borrowed Uni's Suzuki and got it stuck on the hill in Downington, necessitating some kind driver two cars back to come and rescue me (and the line of rush hour traffic that had formed behind me) in that we switched cars for a few miles until I was beyond the hilly parts
D.)  explains what doctors have to do to some special babies' necks
E.)  all of the above"

Yep ... it's apparently E (see the links below for the sources).  But I will say it's that darn Subaru commercial I keep on seeing that torments me by making me always remember that embarrassing moment some eighteen years ago.  [Note ... it's not my MOST embarrassing moment ... which involved an accidental dialing of the digits 9, 1 and 1 instead of the 900# I was aiming for ... a story for another day, perhaps ... or maybe that's all I'll ever say about that ...]

Anyway ... do you have a stick with which I can feather it out some time? ... Then hit me up (as the kids say ...)!
