Random Tune for Tuesday 12/3/13

Fear not ... if you missed the performance during this year's Thanksgiving Macy's Day parade ... you can add this insta-classic about the additional challenges that Santa faces in the poorest parts of town to your holiday playlist courtesy of the youtube.  It's actually a quite sweet song ... and speaks to a simpler time (I imagine a modern update would probably involve Santa wearing the wrong gang colors on the wrong street corner and getting him and his rein-hos all shot up).

Note:  I went looking for the full lyrics and couldn't find them listed on the interwebs ... but I did find the track list for the album on which this song is found as track 4.  While doing so, I noticed Track 5:  "What if We All Stopped Paying Taxes?".  I have to tell you ... Sharon Jones and her Dap-Kings spend a lot of time embracing some deep thinking ...
