No, no ... not Paul Walker (which was tragic, sure ... but I've never seen a Fast or Furious movie, so I didn't have a strong connection to him).
To be honest, the celebrity news I'm referencing wasn't even for a death that occurred in 2013. Instead, it was the coverage of the Macy's parade officials' concern about the high winds at this past Thursday's event that introduced me to the annihilation of Barney that happened in 1997.
Little kids can be heard crying ... but as someone who worked at Hills Dept Store at the turn of the eighties/nineties in the Sound and Video department who had to listen to an endless loop of "I love you ... you love me ... we're a happy family ... with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you" (torture!), I have to be honest and admit that I may actually be OK with this tragic death (therefore, at least when it comes to me, Barney-who-was-ripped-apart-and-stabbed-mercilessly-in-front-of-hundreds-of-little-kids, you will not be missed).
