100 Things I've Always Wanted To Say But Never Did And Now Maybe Should Since The World Might Be Ending -->
Thing 44:
File this under "look ma I went and got myself a career" ... but if the economy collapses along with everything else in 44 days (the Mayan reason, not due to the fiscal cliff), I should probably stop and thank those who shaped my work life once I became an adult. And since my career company went through a major organizational shift a few years back, I have to give credit where credit is due and thank Chris W for shepherding me through it in a way that set me up perfectly for my skill set. I told him my dream job would be to work on special projects and to be like a consultant. And the job I've had since that transformation -- that he helped line up -- one where I work on special projects and help other employees (kind of like a consultant). Of course, it's no surprise that it ended up this way, as he was the kind of boss who always saw beyond just every day business and really worked on a person's overall development (it was the "coach" in him -- an attribute I hope he never loses). [When it comes down to it, the only flaw I can think of is that he prefers the rockin' PJam songs over the Eddie V ukulele slower solo numbers -- but I can look past that.] Thanks for puttin' me in, Coach W!
