100 Things I've Always Wanted To Say But Never Did And Now Maybe Should Since The World Might Be Ending -->
Thing 74:
File this under bet you didn't know the influence you had over me ... but Doug B, wherever you might be, I trace the (delayed) belief in myself and the growth of my self-esteem to you befriending me at Camp Kenbrook when I was a young awkward kid. And if the world's over in just 74 days, I wanted to put it out there that having one of the "cool kids at camp" (what a quintessential kiddie moment) take me under his wing was a big boost to this late social bloomer. I can still remember going with you on a run through the woods -- it may have been the one and only time in my life that I enjoyed running as a physical activity (or even chose to do it without being under duress -- I'm thinking of you, Presidential Fitness mile). Thanks kiddo ... for making this kiddo realize that life existed beyond the confines of his home situation.
