That being said, Rahm's Chi-town seems to be just a little more violent than Daley's Chi-town. Of course, Rahm's Chi-town is also hotter than Daley's Chi-town was, and there is a maxim that with heat comes more violent behavior -- particularly in those poor neighborhoods on the South and West sides (both Rahm's Chi-town and Daley's Chi-town are known as the most geographically segregated major city in our nation) where gang activity runs rampant and where kids settle disputes with gunfire. In my 'hood, the conflict resolution weapon of choice appears to be knives (hence the "knifey" reference), which I guess is better in that it gives you more of a chance to survive -- but come on people -- enough is damn enough.
One last thing about those gangs -- and this may sound controversial so be sure to not take it out of context. I suspect that all the gangs -- even those with an ethnicity hard-wired into the name of the group -- are run by white supremacists. Because it certainly seems that the end result -- whole generations of minority youth being decimated through violence -- would sure make that group happy. In conclusion -- gangs: Hitler youth rewritten for modern times.
