Random Scandal Sheet for Sunday 2/12/12

What Chicago is talking about this week:

... the news story with the predictable ending.

[And that's a not a dig on Whitney. I think she had built up enough good will with my generation (and a few in the generation-adjacents -- although not all of the young kids seem to be having the same reaction as the rest of us ...), that we all were secretly hoping her story-song's coda would be more like a chorus where Jack White rediscovers her and she has a lauded critical comeback a la Loretta or Wanda and less like a reprise of the Winehouse theme.]

Instead, I'm talking about the fools on the South Side of Chitown who used the company "Mo' Money Taxes" to prepare their returns with the IRS -- only to find out that the business is struggling and appears to be holding on to poor people's refunds for far too long and closing branches right and left as the fed execute search warrants. And here's why I think they are fools -- shouldn't they already know that Mo' Money is Mo' Problems?
