Gone but not forgotten: my occasional encounters with Ma and Pa Kettle.
It took catching up on an episode of AMC's amazing Breaking Bad to remind me (the reference was in a scene of a stakeout of an RV that, well, broke bad) that I was once fond of the old black and white Ma and Pa Kettle movies that aired on local weekend television when I was young.
Whether you both were Going to Town, At the Fair, In the Ozarks or on Old McDonald's Farm -- Phoebe and Franklin Kettle, you are missed.
