The Labor Day weekend is upon us!
Here's hopin' yours is exciting (I've already put in a half-ish day at work and been to the beach for some sun ...) and, if you are celebrating the traditional end of summer* by partying at all, that it's all that you want it to be.
[*Overheard at the beach today -- someone complaining about referring to this weekend as the end of summer as autumn doesn't start until later this month. I didn't have the heart to enter the fray to inform him that meteorological summer actually ended this past Wednesday night.]
Back to the party atmosphere -- I hope your gathering is just like this 1991 photo of one of my best friends back home having a grand old time with what appears to be Coors Light and baby food. And whether it's the two decades that have passed since that evening, or the fact that it was just too good a party to remember the details, I can't really explain WHY he's enjoying that combination.
