Move over La Nina and El Nino, our current bout with arctic chill is courtesy of the NAO. That's not the National Academy Orchestra of Canada or the New Age Outlaws or even some Japanese manga chick, but is instead the North Atlantic Oscillation -- a climatic phenomenon that needs a better press agent to get the recognition it deserves! Stay warm because they say next weekend will be even colder!
