Gone but not forgotten: half of the contents of the center console in the car.
Yep, it's official. NOW I'm really a Floridian -- because the car got robbed sometime recently. Missing is something like less than $10 in change, a container of toothpicks, a cell phone charger, a pack of tic-tacs, and the BJ membership cards.
The good news ... it wasn't actually a "smash and grab" -- which means the culprit lucked out because we forgot the lock the doors OR it means the culprit was a valet from one of those rare times *that* happened. Also ... the robber wasn't a complete grinch, because the holiday antennae decoration was left behind.
The general thinking is that stealing car change is routine for the junkies that need any little bit of money to get their fix, but I'm going to convince myself that it was someone who was starving and got to pick four something somethings off of the McMenu with that which they stole. The missing BJ's cards make me think that there are people out there impersonating me to get cheap gas and to buy cereal in bulk ... which is creepy ... but what can you do.
Things I know were stolen (and some things that are gone but maybe I don't even realize it) ... you will be missed (except for the stuff I don't realize was taken, since I can't miss it if I didn't even remember it was there in the first place).
