L V C || C L Memory 26

In 26 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday.  In honor of that countdown, here's memory #26:  that time the whole school celebrated a championship.

Lookit -- if you haven't figured it out by now, I was more of a bookish student than an athletic one during my decade or so at LVC.  I mean I lived at the library (no -- literally -- in a memory coming soon) and I was in the theatre program for goodness sake.  My mandatory PE credit was in bowling ... because you could go on your own time and qualify for the necessary grade.

The athletic kids hung out in their own groups and lived in their own dorms ... and the degree of my exposure to many of them was from working the front desk shift at the College Center on the late weekend nights when the Underground was open.

That being said, I'm pretty sure that we had a pretty good field hockey team during my years there ... and I know that the football players always tried hard ... but the one thing that EVERYONE knew that one time was when our *basketball* team was crowned NCAA Division III Champions.  EVERYBODY was an athlete for that month!
