In 28 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday. In honor of that countdown, here's memory #28: my last International Culture Day.
I wasn't there for the very first (this particular one in the spring of 1994 being the 12th annual) ... but I was a part of this one (and the three of the four that came before -- not including my year away between being a junior and a senior).
From the looks of things, I got my Alex Trebek on and explained the rules of our version of Jeopardy (which is what the German language studying high school kids did) and doing a little bit more masters of ceremony work, introducing the story of the cow yodeling from the Swiss Alps performance.
I tell you I was born at the wrong time. In another later era, and with the additional fact that the school would have had to create such a major, I could have been on the path to being a TV reality show host, what will all my college MCing experience.
