In ONLY 23 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday. In honor of that countdown, here's memory #23: the last tangible items regarding the 1994 spring musical at LVC: 'Godspell'.
As is customary, there's a show poster (and although it looks like it's barely signed, almost all of the signatures from this show are on the back of that poster) ... and the handprint is part of the set that I cut and up and used to enhance the "rungs" on this ladder (although the glow in the dark paint no longer works).
And now that we're near the end of this countdown, let's review that this is the ladder from 'A View from the Bridge', enhanced with pieces of the set from 'Godspell', and it sits in front of the skyline from 'On the Town' -- plus on its bottom shelf is a sewing machine from 'The Pajama Game'.
Having this display in the house is a constant reminder of the good old LVC theatre days ... and it's the perfect final memory related to all the big shows in which I was oh so lucky to participate. Keep your best memories close and they will power you through any troubling times ...
