L V C || C L Memory 20
In ONLY 20 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday. In honor of that countdown, here's memory #20: the Alpha Psi Omega "auditioning" class of 1994.
Or, as some of you may be more familiar with as a concept -- the "pledging" class of 1994.
One of the last things I did in LVC theatre (with Autumn S as a helper) was to reimagine the whole entry into the honorary Greek organization for us theatre kids. Mind you, I was (and am) a fan of tradition ... but I also wanted to do something a little different with a stated goal of eliminating some of the aspects that were a little more stressful and maybe could slant a little negatively.
So we used a lot of new language ... but still did a lot of the old things ... and tried to have a slightly different attitude toward the process -- with Rich G, Alex H, Karen H, Kim H and Tara K all caught up in the "fun".
