Gone but not forgotten: Garry Marshall.
Now I know I'm a few weeks late (he passed in mid-July), but I couldn't possibly let any more time go by without a quick note of thanks to the creator of television shows that filled my younger days.
I also couldn't possibly imagine a world where couples weren't odd and days weren't happy -- where Laverne was Shirleyless and Mindy was Morkless.
Thankfully, I didn't have to ... because Garry Marshall saw to it that all the stories got told that needed to be.
The man who made me feel like I was part of the families -- from Ungar to Madison to Cunningham to DeFazio to Feeney to McConnell (or "from Orks", if they took *his* last name) ... you will be missed.
