L V C || C L Memory 60

In 60 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday.  In honor of that countdown, here's memory #60:  eating off campus.

For example ... at the Co-Ed Luncheonette (down on Main Street), featured here in an article in the school paper from a week in Feb 1992 (and written by Patty F!).  The interwebs say that the owner died a few years after this article, and the luncheonette has long since been replaced, but it was one of the non-cafeteria options for those with cash to burn and a hankering for something different to eat in that era.

The funniest line in this story talks about how LVC professors were the main clientele at that time:  "if the professors eat here, the students stay away", said one of the owners.

[Truth be told ... any time *I* had extra money, it was likely going to Napoli's or Funck's (because one delivered to campus and the other was open to be incorporated into all-nighters).  Chances are they will show up at some point in this countdown ...]
