What southern Florida is talking about this week:
... the loooong holiday weekend -- made extra special with the 4th being on a Monday!
Please stay safe and try to keep all your fingers (let the fireworks displays to the professionals, please!) ... and remember to pay special attention to pets (who freak out with all the noise and have a tendency to run away during the mayhem) and to veterans (for whom the unexpected sounds can trigger PTSD).
Beyond that, though, please enjoy America's 240th birthday party and celebrate however you do -- with family, friends and/or loved ones, eating whatever you'd like -- the menu at ye new olde homestead started on Friday at a new bbq restaurant, then pork loin and portabellos last night, with steaks and more on the grill for this evening [prep pictured] and special stuffed cheeseburgers and picnic food tomorrow (ummm ... good thing I don't have my next weigh-in for two more weeks).
Bottom line -- from me and mine to you and yours -- have a happy (and safe) holiday!
