L V C || C L Memory 97

In 97 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday.  In honor of that countdown, here's memory #97:  one of my college era extra-curriculars!

I guess this countdown is as good as any place to out myself ... but yes, in the 90's, I was a member of the College Republicans, which made me a "Young Republican".

Mind you, in my advanced age and with my current socio-economic status, I'm much more of an independent who even leans a little libertarian ... but back then -- and ESPECIALLY in small town central PA right next to the famed Amish country -- the Republicans seemed to be the cool kids and I was throwing my votes and my letter stuffing and envelope licking skills (this was before e-campaigning) to the side of the elephant.

What can I say ... we are a product of our experiences and our environment -- and both of those categories changed drastically for me in the years to follow.
