Those are the nine soldiers who died in the training tragedy at Ft Hood last week. An investigation into whether it was appropriate to conduct such an exercise in severely inclement weather is underway. As someone who still has family members near and far who are serving, here's hoping that the protocols are rewritten to keep our young ones safe.
Soldiers, the majority of whom were still children in my eyes, who died just doing what they were told ... you will be missed.
