In 128 days, I'll be back on campus at my alma-mater at an extra special homecoming as Lebanon Valley College continues celebrating its 150th birthday. In honor of that countdown, here's memory #128: the winter 1990 student production of 'Shay'.
Considering how this show AND the show from the previous fall ended, we were apparently in the season of depression at LVC theatre (five words [and a bit of a spoiler alert]: blood bladder and razor blades). From the files, I determined that this was my "crew" show, and I got credit for set and lighting -- which all made sense in my "apprentice" year in the group, as I was gaining points based on a wide variety of activities in order to get membership in the honorary greek organization (more on that later in this countdown).
Somewhere other than my files is the show poster ('cause it's a different size) ... but I do seem to have a crushed carnation that made it into the archives -- a gift from the lead? or the director? or something I stole off the set? I simply can't remember ...
