Tonight's theme for the set of photos I inherited when my father passed a few years ago: fuzzy kids playing outside.
Mind you ... the kids aren't fuzzy, but the pictures are (and the *originals* are fuzzy even before I add some fuzz in the transfer). Of course, seeing as how these likely date back to the late twenties and early thirties, that's got to be expected a bit.
Once again, most of them are unmarked -- except the photo I chose to lead the pack, which says on the back that it is my dad, his brother "Junior" and his sisters MaryAnn and Evelyn. The youngest guy (maybe my Dad?) appears to be posing with a classic "I'm picking my nose" look ... which proves that kids have been kids for decades.
Here's the rundown for them all:
#31 - the photo says "Ralph, brother Jr, Evelyn and MaryAnn", and looks to be taken against a barn/garage
#32 - boy with a hat (who almost looks ethnic?) with a kid in each arm at the house that's been in the background for most photos
#33 - kids playing in a field (the middle one seems to be in a ditch? or just on his knees? is that an old fashioned pump in the foreground?)
#34 - two ladies and their babies and a chair in front of a blooming bush
#35 - same blooming bush, possibly different lady and kids?
