What southern Florida is talking about this week:
... the Supremes!
Actually, for the first part of the weekend, the conversation was all about Breyer, who was in town to promote his new book. Oddly enough, for someone who is ready to put an end to capital punishment, sources say that he didn't talk about how Florida's own death row process was declared unconstitutional just a month ago.
Any talk about Breyer though was quickly replaced with chatter about a different Supreme once Antonin's death-by-hatred-in-his-heart (I mean death-by-heart-attack) was announced.
Of course, now with the nomination of a replacement becoming a key part of the presidential election, the Supremes are going to be a topic of conversation for months to come. We've only begun the discussion ...
