Used in a sentence: "The most happening place at the county fair today was the Mooternity pavilion, which was kind of like a halfway house for pregnant cow single mothers to drop their offspring (literally ... out of their cow private parts) to any fairgoers who were summoned over the loudspeaker when a birth was about to happen."
And yes ... we were some of those fairgoers, and so yes, we got to see the aftermath of such a birth (in lieu of my usual companion links, I'll provide companion photos of the little baby calf).
[Note to self: perhaps poor people can get delivery covered in hospitals similarly ... by selling tickets to a live showing of the event, with people milling about the hospital until the announcement is made to rush to see the birth as it occurs. Paid spectators should be able to account for all the birth related expenses. Boom. Just fixed health care. You're welcome.]
