What southern Florida is talking about this week:
How old we are all getting.
But hey -- at least we're not yet Japan, where the sale of adult diapers has exceeded the sale of baby ones. (Now there's a chilling factoid!)
What we are, though, is a state that claims four of the top ten cities in the country with populations over 65. Although I'm still officially a decade or two away from contributing to that statistic, it does make me feel right at home now that I've determined I can hurt myself ... just by the way I sleep at night (ah ... youth ... so fleeting ... and shoulder ... so hurting).
What I like best is that Florida embraces its status. How do I know? Because the official state song is "Old Folks at Home". (I can't make this stuff up!)

YEP ... A LOT OF THEM ARE HERE IN FLORIDA:

WHICH MAKES SENSE AS MUCH AS THE RETIREMENT THING IS PUSHED:
