(As continued from last week ... 'cause this particular flashback is going all February ...)
Twenty years ago (plus a month) ... our group of young folks were near Washington DC holed up in two shared hotel rooms (officially, the hotel itself was in Alexandria VA, as I recall) on a rare practically-one-of-a-kind group road trip out of state.
The impetus for the journey? A certain Pearl Jam was in town rocking the vote, and we were there to crash that (not as any political statement ... just because we were much younger then (and much poorer) and so we didn't have actual tickets to the concert.
To pass the time, our resident artists provided temporary tattoos -- the bonus photo below marries the theme with a Pearl Jam iconic image as the subject -- and the bunch of us drank the beer that young kids from central PA drank on occasions like this -- Yuengling Lager (who happily hasn't changed their look for two decades [unlike those of us who once had an overabundance of hair]).
To be clear ... the group of us did NOT just stay in the hotel room ... but that part of the story is the part that is ... to be continued ...
