Godwin's Law.
Used in a sentence: "Old people like me probably only learned about Murphy's Law when we were little, but all the kids nowadays get schooled on Godwin's Law."
What is Godwin's Law (for those of you who don't know)? Seeing as how I mentioned it in my post in my rant this past Saturday (when I became guilty of it) and said that I'd be explaining it today, I feel an obligation to share what I learned.
Godwin's Law is, according to the first link below, "a humorous observation made my Mike Godwin in 1989 (that's when *I* graduated from high school) which has became an Internet adage [that] as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1." Basically, in the world of the interwebs, especially with the idiocy of the "anonymous" commentators, it's just like the image states ... the Nazis *always* show up sooner or later.
Now you know.
