Random Memorial for Monday 9/1/14

Gone but not forgotten:  going for the obvious here (no ... not a post about Joan Alexandra Molinsky ... although I did wait until later in the day just in case Ms. River's doctor's trickery today didn't work) ... the obvious being that summer 2014 is no more.

Nothing hammers that home like turning the house calendars to September today ... although I will say that the upcoming fall season is the only one I haven't yet experienced down here in Florida (having moved in late Jan/early Feb of this year).  And since summer is year round where I now live, I'm not sure how much will change.

One thing for sure ... my inability to work outside is ending (not on chores which had to happen no matter what ... but literally, since I work from home ... my ability to accomplish tasks and take meetings from the front porch or the back deck was hampered because it was just too ... darn ... hot).  Admittedly, rainy season isn't quite over and the "cones of certainty" must still be watched closely for any storm that manages to get organized in a way no storm has done to date this year.

But for all y'all that don't get to live here in southern Florida's paradise ... summer of 2014 will never be here again ... and it will be missed.
