Gone but not forgotten: freezing fog and other weather phenomenon ... you know, like derechos.
Oh I do love me some derechos (maybe because I didn't have them when I was little) but I promise this will *not* be yet another post about my favorite wind weather event.
Instead, I'll fondly recall "freezing fog" -- something else I don't think they had when I was little -- but that we did have in Chitown before the big move. (This picture, off the google, has the bunny, so it felt like the right choice for the day after Easter.
I've actually found that it's a bit of a useless exercise to check the weather here ... since every day is between 85 and 90 and mostly sunny with an occasional surprise rain shower at pretty much any time. Not that I'm complaining.
Variety in my weather that leads me to learn of new meteorological events, you are (kind of) missed.
