Random Thought for Thursday 10/11/12

It's a numbers kind of day ... being 10.11.12 and all.

So let me pause for a moment to thank any of you who clicked through to my blog since May '08 as Mr. Google has informed that I've crossed over the 15,000 pageview mark.

And I'm happy with that number.  First of all -- most people see my randomness on Facebook, where my friends and acquaintances and those who haven't blocked me are a captive audience.  Second -- my nephew only set up the blog because I was worried that I was losing access to any creative output by keeping it exclusively in Mark Zuckerberg's hands, so it was more for me anyway.  Third -- I write to keep myself JUST on this side of the line of sanity, but if others view it and get something from it (a chuckle or an insight or even a tear on my best days), then that's all the more better.

One day in the future, I might find a way to monetize the blog -- but for now it's just a highly searchable way for me (and maybe 15,000 others) to review my "greatest hits".  Which, by the way, according to that same Mr. Google, 64% of those views come from the US, with Russia in second place at 13%!  Of the top 10 posts viewed, 6 of them are Random Postings for Penn State -- and the number 1 post is the one I wrote about Chicago's CLTV's evening meteorologist Duffy Atkins when I implored her to have her baby already because she was 10 or 11 months pregnant and blocking the local radar views!

Again -- thanks to anyone who stumbled on my site!

THEY SUGGEST TO MAKE SPECIAL NOTE OF 7:08:09 ON 10.11.12:
