I'm of half a mind to just post this picture without any explanation. But since I only have half of my mind left, that seems like a more dangerous proposition. (Plus -- I tend to be the guy with MORE words, not FEWER.)
As I tell my life's story pictorially at a distance of 20 years, this is one of my favorite photos as taken by the Uniontown State Police upon my arrival to that corner of PA in the summer/fall of 1992.
To be clear, it's my only mugshot (to date -- and now I'm tempting fate). It was provided to me gratis after I took a tour of the barracks, where my surrogate grandmother JoAnne (RIP) was a recently retired dispatcher and had all kinds of the right connections (I believe a speeding ticket a few months later led to a fine but NO points, as I recall).
By the way, I was in town interrupting my LVC undergrad education for an 18 month acting internship (of sorts -- I was also taking a class at California University of PA, and working at the local Hills for the first few months and ... just growing up, since I was only 20 years old at this time and was a late bloomer) -- so maybe that explains my attempt to "give face" for the shot.
Oh my ... where does the time (and the hair) go ...
