Random Scandal Sheet for Sunday 2/5/12

What Chicago is talking about this week ...

... well there is what the SunTimes today called the "Enviabowl" (it's so close and yet so far away ...), but in the spirit of how all the TV networks had to come up with counter-programming on America's holiday (rumor has it the Puppy Bowl includes a Piggie Pep Squad this year) ... the conversation for some has turned into how Top Chef-y this city is becoming.

There's the current Chi-stacked season wrapping up with at least one of our hometowners still there (but I'm guessing bullied Bev will be returning from Last Chance Kitchen to increase the chance that they'll be a Chicago winner), and the news that former Cheftestant Dale is closer to opening his frog n snail within walking distance of where I live (joining Chuy's Chilam Balam in an attempt to create a Top Chef-staurant Row), and the variety of efforts that past winner Stephanie Izard has been a part of.

Sadly, I can name drop all I want (I actually did met Dale in a uniquely Chicago way -- that's another story for another time) ... but none of them are catering for my SuperBowl viewing plans ... and, on that note ... Happy Super Bowl to you and yours!
