[Quick tangent ... what did the Von Trapps have against Latin0s anyway? I mean I know the Latin explosion wasn't what it is now back in the Nazi times, but still, you can probably see Spain from the top of the Matterhorn, no? Why not give out a little Latin love when those kids are singing?]
It's been an enjoyable week ... sunning in the afternoon, drinking many a liquid dinner, making new friends, seeing a few old ones, having engaging conversations, connecting with unexpected people, trying out a few new places, traveling by boat through the Biscayne Bay National Park, and Hard Rocking (finally) at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino (after saying I'd do that for the last 3-4 years since having this regular "sample my retirement" vacation on my calendar) -- in short, cherishing another set of warm and welcoming memories to get through the cold winter ahead.
Oh yeah, and tickets for the annual sojourn to the Palm Desert area were just booked. Flight leaves in 77 days!
