Random Scandal Sheet for Sunday 1/22/12

What Chicago is talking about this week ...

... a few are talking about the same thing that most of Central PA is talking about this week (I'll reserve my additional comments on that for tomorrow, my Memorial Monday post)

... not so many are talking about football even though the big game itself is just a few hours away (I mean sure we'll all go out drinking in two weeks, especially to see all the creative commercials and to see the latest iteration of Madonna) -- we just don't have any "skin" in the game (unless you're a compulsive gambler, and then assistance is available at 1-800-GAMBLER)

... a good number are weighing in on the Republican goings-on in the South (Newt and Mitt and Rick oh my!)

... many are dealing with the weather "smorgasbord" (as it was referenced online today -- since "freezing drizzle, icy roads, fog, rain, high winds, and possibly thunderstorms" are all ahead)

... but the local headlines are all about a deal that was struck to keep city libraries open on Mondays after all (they were to be closed as part of budget cutbacks). Victory for old fashioned book-readers!
