Random Memorial for Monday 1/16/12

Gone but not forgotten (at least for four years): Huntsman being in the 2012 campaign cycle.

It was a pleasure getting to know you. And I hope we see you back in four years as I think you'll make an interesting candidate versus Hillary Clinton after Obama finishes his second term. [I'm not picking sides here so much as just reading the writing on the wall. I can't see the Republicans rallying around anyone until they address the religious (or should I say anti-religious) undertones of their primary battle (and I guess the JFK-is-a-Catholic "controversy" was once dealt with, but we all know how that ended -- never again was a Catholic elected, I mean).] I might have thought you'd make a nice VP candidate, but a Mormon doesn't balance the ticket of another Mormon, so I think that ship has also sailed. I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

He who at least seemed to understand that "Presidential" politics requires a "Presidential" presence, you will be missed.
