Random Flashback for Friday 10/14/11

It was the perfect companion to IT and it was called DO ...

...the flashing-back (or is that flash-backing) to "Through a Shattered Looking Glass: An Evening of the Supernatural", LVC's fall play from 1991 that I directed, continues. Here is Brigette C, in the climactic moment from the next existential and slightly off the wall one act play in that evening's series where her character was constantly under pressure to DO something.

And, I can't post this picture without telling one of my favorite stories from this show, even if bringing it up again might hurt Stacy G's noggin. Having worked with prop guns like this one years later in many murder mysteries, I can tell you that it doesn't always fire. That happened one night here, and, fully in character, when the trigger was pulled and no noise was heard -- Brigette did the next best thing and simply heaved the gun at Stacy's face. Tech guru Andy P quickly killed the lights, the curtain closed, and the cast immediately gathered around a shaken Stacy, who had "hit the deck" just in time to dodge (not a bullet), but an actual (prop) gun.

DO something indeed.
