Random Memorial for Monday 6/20/11

[Nearly] Gone but not forgotten: the study of German as a foreign language in college (another Montag, another Detusche-influenced post) ...

That's not quite true. It's more that the study of German is about to slip a spot in the popularity rankings of what foreign language college students study. American Sign Language is about to take spot #3 (behind Spanish and French), pushing German to #4 -- not that there's anything wrong with ASL; I actually tried to learn it in line at an amusement park once. Apparently, Arabic had the biggest "pop" but is still far down the list. There is still time to affect the ratings, though, as the next study comes out in 2012!

Deutsche Sprache an der Universität, if you fade away any faster, you will be missed!
