Random Wordplay for Wednesday 3/30/11

Farm Fresh Air (Full of Microbes).

Used in a sentence, "An asthma study last month revealed that kids who grew up on farms were up to 50% less likely to develop allergies -- and that is being credited to that farm fresh air (full of microbes)."

I'm not about to go all Chicken Little with the extreme apocalyptic view of the SuperGerm that will wipe out the human race (you know, the one in the .1% that the anti-bacterial soap doesn't kill that is mutating as we speak in sterile households across America to get revenge on its fallen germ kin). But I guess this study does speak to the fact that it turns out that kids are supposed to get dirty and to eat dirt and to be outside and to get exposed to all kinds of things when they are younger and as their immune system is developing.

So the next time you are riding in the country with the windows down and get a whiff of some freshly laid manure, be grateful and breathe deep for the sake of your immune system! [And get your kid a portable game system already so that they have a reason to play outside!]

CITY KIDS HAVE IT BAD -- EXPOSURE TO ROACHES AND DIESEL BAD FOR ALLERGIES:

DRAGON's DROOL, FROG's GLANDS and SHARK STOMACHS MIGHT BEAT IT:
