How is it that it took me nine years to learn that this Rob Thomas holiday song was about the first Christmas after 9/11? And after having stayed in a hotel this week during my trip to NY within the shadows of the construction equipment rebuilding the WTC site -- something I heard and liked instantly becomes so much more poignant and moving when provided with the context.
