Gone but not forgotten: Octobers without sadness for me. It's been one year this month since I lost my "grandmother" JoAnn and nine years this month since I lost my "brother" DJ. With my typical posts, I tend toward the purple prose and the over-convoluted, so today, I'll keep it simple out of respect for them. People who gave of themselves to accept me into their families that are now no longer with us, you are very much missed.
